This movie is based on the novel by Stephen King and the book is 100 times much better than the movie. The movie started very interesting with a mysterious cell signal infecting anyone who was on their cell phone. The persons began to become enraged and almost zombie-like attacking the non-infected. Clay's (John Cusack) phone ran out of juice while on the airport and as a result was not infected.
Clay fought his way through the chaos and wound up hooking up with Tom (Samuel L. Jackson) in the process. They finally escaped the infected and went on a road trip in search of Clay's son.
From then on the movie fell apart as they ran into survivors who at times tagged along but some did not make it as they became victims themselves. The main premise of the movie besides Clay reuniting with his son, was to somehow destroy the cell phone tower that was controlling the infected. I won't spoil the dull ending in case you would like to watch it but if I was you, I would read the book instead. I give it 2 out 5 stars.
Have you seen Cell? Have you read the book? What are your thoughts on either?
